Real Basic is around $100. One major advantage of using it over languages like Python is that, when you write a Real-Basic program for one platform (e.g., macintosh) it works on others (e.g., Windows, Linux). Anyway, it never hurts to have options, and as you know, the visually impaired community could certainly use more of those.
