It does, so long as there is only one attachment. I've never had much luck with 
Preview, but you can open a file from Quicklook if you want to. That way you 
get an idea of what it has, and can open it to do more with it if necessary. I 
just wish cmd-y would work on multiple attachments by popping up a list of 
files.
