I'm not sure but to boot to internet recovery press command-option-r at the startup chime.

Ok, question 1, where do i find "internet recovery"? and question 2, how can i
get the mac to connect to the internet through wifi when trying to reinstall the system?
I've searched and searched and there seems not to be a possibility to connect the mac to
my wifi like there was before. What is the problem here?

If you use the Partition tab in Disk Utility, which is visible when you select the disk device in
the table, then select "1 partition" in layout, you can erase the entire disk and
repartition it with one partition in one step. Make sure to press Options and make sure that
"GUID partition table" is selected (it should already be). Then press apply, press
partition, wait a few moments and it's done.

You will not be able to do this with the recovery partition. You will have to
create USB install media or, if your Mac was purchased with Mavericks on it,
use Internet Recovery. You can't partition a disk while you are booted from
recovery on that disk, of course.
