Please don't miss understand me, I love the Mac, I have one but I believe that if I'm lucky enough to be able to afford windows and a second computer, than I should use them. I'm from Australia and I find the transcription website that I'm studying from just doesn't quite work with safari. As well I use a laptop for my job and I can tell you that a lot of work places are windows orientated.

My brain couldn't handle all the switching back and forth when both systems were open at once. For my work, I need to use Windows and there are several software programs that just work better in the PC environment at this time such as OCR and translating/embossing braille.I do love my Mac and hoping that in the future more of the PC software will be more compatible with accessibility on the Mac. OS X 10.10 looks very promising, but doesn't quite take away the bitterness for me. We'll see. Probably, as usual, I will relent and make do with less.
