Are you using the latest version of pages? I was having a problem where in images would not be placed where I expected them. Apple accessibility said this was a known issue, and fixed it by sending me an old version of pages: not exactly what I would call a fix. I am wondering if the latest version of pages has fixed image positioning issues.
