Okay, there is just one review for this app in the app store (the one where this is two words) though admittedly it is not for the current version. The reviewer cites only being able to kill it with activity monitor and though he found the icon in the menu bar he says it was "stuck"; said developer did not respond to complaints.
There is another app: AudioSwitcher, which is $0.99 and appears to have a different developer; this is all one word by the way. Again, I don't know if there are reviews for the current version but there are definitely a lot more reviews for this one. I have not read them but it looks like they were more positive though it wouldn't be fair to compare that with the one interview for the other one. I don't know whether this other one will meet your needs but you might want to check it out. -- Cheryl Go beyond the Christmas story this year; meet Immanuel (God with us), Jesus, the crucified Savior, Christ, the risen LORD!!! The program is Audio Switcher. I have multiple speakers hooked up to my mac and the program is supposed to easily allow you to adjust the volumes of each speaker set via the extras menu instead of having to do it through the system preferences and switch which speakers you are controlling.
