If you can configure your screen reader to use the insert key as its modifier key, than there is an easy solution in Fusion settings. you can set a key, (I and many others use the grave accent key), and have fusion send the VM an insert key whenever you press your selected key. JAWS and NVDA can be set to use the insert key instead of the caps lock key for example. In these cases, you don’t even need a key remap program like sharpkeys, you just set fusion to send insert key instead of the selected key. Again, this is the simplest way I know of. I currently use Sharpkeys to swap the grave accent key with the caps lock key, but I’ve also used fusion settings to send the insert key instead of the grave accent and set JAWS to use insert. Works both ways.
