Go to the apple store and try one out. Get more familiar with it. A personal evaluation would be beneficial as well as asking others, like you did on this list. And yes, the apps from the app store can run on the I pod touch. Whether or not they are accessible depends on the GUI of the application; if they followed Apple's accessibility guidelines, etc. Cameron.
