Hi, if you use the MAC I would make a test call for at least a little more than five minutes though. I have seen skype lose the picture after a couple of minutes in conjunction with the screen saver a couple of times, both on my MBA and on my MAC desktop. In other words, if stability is the main issue I would settle for the iPad. /Roland
