If you aren't running compute intensive apps like games under Windows 
you might want to consider getting VMWare Fusion. Fusion allows you to 
run Windows as just another application, and within there you can do 
anything you normally do with Windows. That gives a much more integrated 
environment where you launch and quit windows just like any other app, 
as needed. A little hunting around and you can usually find VMWare 
Fusion for under $30.

They even have some tools to make an image of your existing PC and 
transfer it over to fusion on your mac. I haven't tried that but it 
sounds interesting.
