When I try to check the box, Voiceover utility writes the following error
message to the console:

settings.

To try and duplicate do the following.
1. Open the VoiceOver utility by pressing control option f8. Note you need to
have use all f1 f2 etc as standard function keys checked under keyboard for
this to work.
2. Make sure that general category has focus in the utility categories table.
3. Navigate right down to the bottom of the window.
Before the help button you should see a checkbox which says allow VoiceOver to
be controlled by Apple script. It is this checkbox which will not work.
Before I sign off fellow member Christopher Hallsworth can duplicate this. I
asked him by E-mail when I discovered it.
If you can duplicate please let accessibil...@apple.com know.
