I've done both. I love my blue snowball! The only thing about it I don't like
is the little stand that comes with it is so short that I'm gonna probably now
need to buy a stand that can sit on the desk which is a little taller. Plus,
I'd like something with a boom arm that would bring the mike closer to my
mouth. Don't get me wrong. The switch on the back left side, when flipped to
the 3rd position all the way to the right will turn off all padding, which
makes it quite sensitive, but, it's not as good as just sitting with the mike
six inches or so in front of you. Trust me. It still sounds like I'm off at a
distance, which is not the sound I want.
