Thanks everyone.

Sadly my mac isn't covered and according to apple it's best just to get a new one. Yeah, like I have the 1700 right now to do so. So for school I'm going to spend the next few months crying and cursing mother nature.

Hello all:
I just resubscribed here. When I bought my new Mac Mini I got Apple Care. I asked if it extended to my iPhone and iPad and was informed it did not. Now, sometimes you can get a whole new answer if you ask someone else, but that is what I was told, each one is separate. Of course, more money. (smiley)

I heard that accidental damage is covered with the Apple Care, if you get it on a phone. I think it might be $79 or something, not sure if it covers macs though.

I know in the past I've been able to visit an Apple store and get
a phone exchanged for less than the cost of a new device. I had
forgotten it was in my pocket and went swimming with it. At the
time I think they charged me about $150-200 and I told them
exactly what happened. That's been a few years ago when the
iPhone 4 was new. It was money I didn't really want to spend but
it was still far less than the cost of outright buying a new one.
Maybe they do the same thing for laptops. There are stories
elsewhere on the web of folks calling AppleCare for water in
their laptops and being told it's not covered but being able to
get a "spill repair" for way less than the cost of a new one.
Still could be a non-trivial cost but better than buying a whole
new unit. Other forums also mention having computer damage riders
on their insurance covering this kind of thing so you might want
to check into that. There are also 3rd party repair shops which
might have a lower cost than going through the official Apple
    channels such asispillrepair.com <http://ispillrepair.com/>. I've
never used them but it might be worth a try.

As I said mother nature decided to blow rain into the window and
it totally soaked the mac along with loads of other stuff.

AppleCare for a Mac is like an extended warranty, to the best
of my knowledge. Accidental damage like this surely would not
be covered. Your best bet would be to call apple or visit the
genius bar to inquire what you're options are. You should
discontinued use of the computer until you decide what to do,
    to avoid further damage.

Hey everyone. Hopefully someone can answer my question. I'm so
frustrated right now that I can't think straight.

Is there a place where I can go see if my mac is covered under
apple care if it's killed by water?

My poor mac was just drowned in rain thanks to mother nature
and soaking pretty much everything with blowing wind and loads
of rain while I was out for lunch.

Sadly I can't call apple to ask them due to the fact it's a
    holiday here in Canada, grrr!!
