As far as budget friendly microphones, my top choices would be the
blue spark, AKG C214, and pretty much any large diaphragm condenser
microphone from studio projects or SE Electronics. Those microphones
range in price from around $150 to $400 and up, however, a microphone
above that price range would be overkill for standard podcast stuff
anyways. If you need cheaper microphones than that, let me know as
there are some tolerable options if you're really tight on money...
I'm based in the USA so prices probably will vary if you live in
another country.
