Usually, outsourcing development is a mistake, they are probably doing it because it's cheaper, but you have far less control over the quality of what is developed and cannot monitor it as closely. I think doing this is a huge mistake on Vmware's part. I no longer have any use for windows and therefore do not use fusion, but it will be interesting to watch what happens.
