Hey Scott, One caveat I would add here is that it depends on how important portability is. the Air is much nicer to carry around, especially if you're also hauling a braille display. Just something to consider. I chose the Air over the Pro for its portability, not due to cost. The air is a bit less expensive but when in best buy the other day they had an air and a pro at the exact same price so with all things equal I’d go with a pro model. I would also budget $100 or so for VMWare fusion for running that windows instance on top of OS X.
