Actually, from you, I’m way more than across the pond, I’m just about as far I 
think as I can get from your position.  I’m located in the North East United 
states, we call the region New England where the Europeans originally settled, 
the most recent time we won’t discuss the vikings or druids or anyone else who 
made it over first but history doesn’t record because it doesn’t help the 
case.:)  So when I say across the pond it’s an expression used a lot between 
Great Britain and the United States to refer to the ocean between us.
