First recommendation: handyman with drill, good precision measure, and a length of CAT6. If possible, cable is *always* the better option. Consult the other half first if applicable, as this is sometimes known to cause domestic unrest. You may also need to consult your landlord if this means boring through exterior walls.
Second option: HomePlug. If you have circuits on the same distribution board, you can use your mains power lines. Caution: these things screech like mad into the radio spectrum. Consult your friendly radio ham first. The people who sell these things don’t care, but he or she might, and you don’t want to upset your neighbours. Final option: wireless. It is preferable—but not required—that you use products from the same vendor. WDS has the home advantage and gives you a proper wireless backbone, i.e. Apple gear configured with one as primary, the other extender.
