Jeff,

Try as I may, I could not reproduce your findings.

I ran over 10 tests using 4 iPhones running iOS 10.01. I have enough vision to
use iPhone, for extremely short periods of time, without VoiceOver so was able
to perform simultaneous tests comparing the native Clock app volume levels. I
ran the tests using 2 iPHone 6 Plus devices, an iPhone 5 S, and an iPhone 6 S
Plus. One of the phones was purchased from A T & T Wireless, one from Verizon
Wireless, one from Sprint, and one from T-Mobile.

In each test, the volume level of the Alarm, was consistent, regardless of
whether VoiceOver was enabled or disabled.

Just so you know, I tested with the Mute button enabled/disabled, and also
tested with the Do not Disturb feature enabled/disabled.

In all of my tests, the devices were set to alarm at the same time so it was
very easy for me to compare volume levels.

Finally, it should be noted that I rebooted these devices several times and ran
tests without rebooting them. In every scenario I setup, the Clock Alarm
performed just as expected, either with or without VoiceOver.

I really tried my best to locate your bug but, as far as I can tell, it does
not exist; at least, not that I could detect.

Happy Hunting,

Mark

Subject: Alarm Bug in IOS 10.0.1

Hi all,

I think I’ve discovered a bug in IOS 10.0.1 using Voiceover and the Alarm app.
Unfortunately, I ended up sleeping in and missing my bus/train this morning.

Can anybody confirm thet the alarm sound drops out or doesn’t play at all when
Voiceover is running? I have also tried it with the mute button set and I
think that causes a problem too.

Assuming we can recreate this bug, how do I submit this to Apple as I’ve never
submitted one before.

Thx,
Jeff
