My point was not that it was never reasonable to be skeptical about
global warming. My point was that it was never sensible to assert that
scientists were trying to pull off a hoax. If you think it was ever
reasonable to assert that global warming was a hoax, then you should not
be allowed to vote at least until you get your head on straight.
PS: I am willing to debate global warming with you any time any place.
The facts are on my side.

Who boy we should move this over to the off topic list because I could blow
huge holes in your global warming position. Scientists did infect fudge factor
data and I can show you hard space weather data that indicates similar warming

That doesn’t mean I think we should be pumping crap in to the air and sea but
the global warming deal is just a scheme to enrich a few. The next time
Leonardo Decrapio tells me I need to use less energy while he’s flying around
in his Gulfstream G5-50 burning more energy per hour than I do in my life I’ll
smack him with a trout.

The USA has a long, disgraceful history of preventing minorities from voting
via poll tests. So I know making people prove they know *something* before they
vote is not practical. It would be nice though. If you ever thought global
warming was a hoax, you shouldn't be allowed to vote. I don't mean if you ever
hoped it wasn't true. I mean if you ever believed scientists were deliberately
making it up, then you should never again be allowed to vote. Well, maybe that
is a bit harsh. You should have to prove you have learned your lesson though.

One thing I appreciate about countries like Australia is that they
recognize that those who choose not to participate in the voting process
hurt the country as a whole.
So, they did and I believe still do, require you to vote or pay a fine.
The choice to be willfully ignorant is often not something that a city,
county or country can afford.
I respect that many might not have enjoyed the menu options, but
choosing to skip the democratic process is especially damaging where,
like stateside, it is more of an electoral college election than a
general public mandate anymore.
Speaking only for myself, it seems time to give voters a clear
incentive to educate themselves about those issues. fine want to stay
home enough to pay a fine for that right?

But why? Why should people who know nothing about the issues vote?
Just repeating your opinion that they should vote is no answer.
It's like saying you should get brain surgery even if you're not sure
you have something wrong with your brain. Just sign yourself up for
random medical treatments, who knows, some of them might even help.
Instead of picking someone at random, if you haven't studied the
issues, you should STAY HOME!
repeating that they should vote is NO answer.

For our friends in the US,
Totally apolitical here and please please let’s keep it
that way. Get out there and vote today, do your civic duty
regardless of your party / candidate / beliefs just get out and
have
your voice heard if you haven’t already.
Uber is offering a $20 credit for a trip to your polling
place, Lyft has a similar deal with up to $45 in credits, and
Google
also has the means to arrange a ride for you and provide some
credits
to get to your closest polls. the parties are offering rides and
volunteer services as well.
Also, make sure you take advantage of the deals available
today to voters. Keep that “I voted†sticker and Krispy >
Cream
will give you a free donut, McDonalds and Seven Eleven are giving
free coffee, and many small businesses are having election day
promotions that include discounts or out right freebies.
Remember that many service men and women have fought and
died
for your right to vote so let’s not let them down and make

take advantage of our most powerful expression of our freedom, our
right to vote. Now get out there and be safe everyone.
