I appreciate all of the great posts on this subject.
It does work beautifully on my iPhone, and it also works well using a line
in cable from the Mac mini.
Thanks again.

You are in good hands, my friend! I use Sonos products so extensively, I'm
literally a private beta tester. I can't really say much more than that
however regarding that fact. However, in regards to your question, the
Sonos app is not very speech friendly with voiceover on the Mac. This
said, do you have an iOS device, or a Windows device? If so, you have two
sollutions, both of which are 100% accessible.
First off, you can install the Sonos Controller iOS app. It is totally
totally accessible! Secondly, you can go to:
http://www.sonos.com
and download the Windows PC version of the Sonos controller. Then, you'll
also need to go to:
http://www.hartgen.org/sonos
and get the free JAWS scripts that Brian wrote for the controller. They're
not required, but they'll definitely help tremendously.
Actually, you even have a 3rd option, come to think of it. You also can
use the controller app through Android e with any of the screen readers
over there like Talkback, Spiel, Shine, Voice Assist, etc. There might
even be an app for the Kindle Fire, but not sure. If you have an Amazon
Alexa Echo, you even can control the speakers with your voice.
You also may want to go to
http://www.mosen.org
Jonathan Mosen has written a book which is very very reasonably priced,
and very very very worth it, which will explain every single aspect of the
Sonos system. After reading the book cover to cover in one day, I was so
freaking hooked/convinced, that I went that very day, practically begging!
my grandmother to take me to Best Buy to pick up a set of Play1's. It was
probably one of the best investments I've ever made!
Cristine, if you'd like to do so, this is my work number, but it rings at
all hours of the day to my home office. I'll be here all tonight, and all
tomorrow, so feel free to call me if you'd like to discuss this further
via voice. I'd be tickled to death to help you with this! Again, this
number already is very much public knowledge, so it's not like I'm giving
out personal info on list. It's in my signature anyway, so it's not like
people can't already get it.
You can call me at: 704-256-8010, Then choose option 1 from the IVR. If
you don't get me, leave me a voicemail with a number, and I'll call you
back. I'm on eastern time, and there is no time which is most convenient.
Just call whenever.
Please don't return the speaker though. I cross my heart we can get you up
and running! If you return, you'll definitely regret in the long run.
Hell, I'd kill! for a set of play5's, but they weren't in my budget at the
time.

Subject: A question about the Sonos
I just got a Sonos Player: 5. I have installed the Sonos software, but it
seems very visual and I can do nothing with it. It appears to have added
my music, but all I see are images and I’m wondering how to actually make
it work. It is testing my stupidity levels right now and finding them
high.
