Hello Gents,

I’d like to keep this topic focused on Apple products, okay?

Thank you,

Mark

Kevin,

Is it much better than Chrome 50? Right now, we only support Chrome 45-50 for
our clients. If you could provide me a mailing list for ChromeVox users I would
gladly participate. I know how to find a list of open Chrome Vox Next bugs, but
is there a canary new features list I don't feel comfortable supporting
ChromeVox on the above versions.

                Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn

Hi Devin,

Have you tried ChromeVox Next on Chrome OS M56?
Thanks!

The biggest problem with me getting into Chrome OS, for me at least, is that
there is no usable MUD client for that system, neither is there one for
Android, either. So Windows still has me with that.

Simon,

ChromeVox works best within the ChromeBook environment. I'm not familiar with
it's functionality within Windows, but on the Mac, the biggest limitation of CV
is that it does not work with the MacOS menu items etc. That is, it is a
screen reading solution for everything within the web-content of the Chrome
browser, but does not announce the MacOS aspects of the browser window nor the
MacOS menus. In a ChromeBook, this is not an issue as everything that CV needs
to access is speakable.

Regarding Admin tools, you'd likely need to look in the Chrome Web Store. As
in the MacApp Store, the Chrome Web Store has tons and tons of apps. I suspect
that there are such tools that you're speaking of, but cannot confirm right now.

I will definitely give that a look.

Chrome book sounds like an interesting way to go.

Hey Scott,

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend taking a look at Chrome OS/Books. The
new rewrite, ChromeVox Next has the best performance, support, and delight
factors compared to legacy screen readers.

I think over the next year I’ll be diversifying a bit off of apple more on to

my iPhones and Macs but I need to see Apple make some real improvements and
changes to remain exclusive like I have been. I’ve been trying windows lately
and still hate it as much as ever so I don’t think I’ll be changing my laptop
game around much but I’m going to really see a big upgrade in phones from Apple
this year. Siri needs serious work as well. Google is doing very interesting
things now, especially on the google home side of things and I’m having a blast
with that equipment.
