I am using word press on a self hosted site with little to no problems.  I 
actually quite like it.

As for some of the things you are asking, it’s not clear to me what you are 
after, from the way you are wording things.  I am not aware that you can 
actually use Facebook, for example, as a CMS.  I don’t know what you are 
talking about with the sound engineer stuff, as I am not in that field-are you 
talking about using voiceover on the mac, or doing voiceovers as in the 
production of things, like commercials, etc?

ps-there are many many solutions for web hosting.  The most cost effective will 
vary, depending on your budget and what you want and need.  I personally use 
dream host and love them, but there are many others which are equally as good.
