Hi Mark,

You know, I totally get why this is the case. I've always been one who wanted
the latest and greatest iPhone, but I've decided to sit this year out and hang
on to my iPhone 7. There are several reasons for this decision. the 8 just
doesn't feel like much of a step up, so there doesn't seem much point. As for
the X, first off, the price is ridiculous. Though I'm curious about face ID, I
don't feel like I absolutely have to have it. I also like having a home
button, and would prefer not to give that up until I have to, and yes, I
suppose that within a year or two I will have to. Finally, my hunch is that
the phone that Apple releases next year (10S?) will be an improved version of
the X, with many of the rough edges smoothed out, and probably a bit more
speed, if Apple's past history is predictive here. I'm also betting that once
this model and it's technology are no longer new, the price will drop
significantly.

Just curious, after the 7, what was the most common answer?
Cheers,
Donna
