Tim is correct.
If you desire full uncompressed sound quality, cd and lp is the only way to
go. I will add speaking only for myself, I am enough of an audiophile to
hear the difference between the two as well, with music important
enough to me professionally to keep my cds and keep buying vinyl. The
compressed lesser quality is part of why so much music is being put out on
LP again the market too can hear the difference.
On line music services aim to save space. that means stripping elements
away to make mp3 files.
Just my opinion too,

Hi Angus,
Realize that Amazon Music also compresses it's music files. Amazon compresses
music to an high quality mp3 format which according to some does not have as
good of sound quality as the high quality AAC formatted songs that iTunes uses.
So, if you're wanting uncompressed sound quality, then the CD is your only
option. I believe that all the services, Google Play, Amazon Cloud Music and
Apple Music/iTunes Match all digitally compress their music and will also
digitally compress any music that you upload to their Cloud service.

Thank you. The compressed music a person gets from iTunes does not excite me.
CDs as I understand, Give you the actual un compressed file. Is Amazon Music
easy for a IOS (iPhone and/or iPad) easy to buy? I also have access to an
Android user.
