What is the name or label on the USB flash drive you are using?

When your in computer that's the command shift c that alex mentioned,
 Are you able to tab through the different devices 
Also listen for any lists or tables that might require expansion!

But if you've not yet tried have a look at things with disk utility and see 
what external devices are connected.
