I did get to the Sounds and Audio Devices section, the only device listed was
HD Audio. I completely uninstalled the device, and was asked to restart
Windows. When I did that, HD Audio reinstalled automatically. To reiterate my
issue, sound comes up fine so I can use JAWS, Narrator, or whatever screen
reader I choose. However, the only Input device that shows up under properties
is a Microphone, even though my Mac mini has a line-in jack. I can’t for the
life of me figure out how I can get this VM to see that line-in jack. My
thanks, by the way, to the other person who suggested a couple of apps for me
to check out. I’m planning to do that soon if I can’t do my tape transfers
through Windows on the VM.
