I've heard that furnace installers/repair people prefer the Eco, and I will say I don't think our nest has worked quite as well with the new furnace that was put in last summer. The Honeywell thermostat that Jeff mentioned also gets good reviews. But yeah, I'm tired of controlling it through a separate app - I'd really like to just run everything through home kit.
