Which Option key are you using? I was always in the habit of using right option, and I, too, thought it was broken after the upgrade. Try pressing Left-Option T and see if that works. If so, go to VoiceOver Utility, commanders, Keyboard commander. There’s an option for using either left or right option key, right option is default. When I changed to left option, I could use the right-option T to get the date and time. I’m not clear what that left VS right option selection means. Hope this makes sense and helps.
