Devin: Just to clarify, TDSR is sufficiently reliable to do real work in the Mac terminal? I'm assuming one silences VO in preference to TDSR while in the Terminal? I presume there's a way to automate that?
I do agree on the IRSSI recommendation. It's a thoroughly powerful and capable IRC client. It takes some configuration to make it blind friendly, but it works very well indeed. I use it daily on Linux as part of my W3C work. The weakness on Mac has always been VO, imo.
