Hi,

To jump into this conversation, I’d say that 8 Gb of RAM will suffice in most 
cases.  The M1 Macs manage memory and processor actions much differently than 
Intel machines.  Check out this relatively short video comparing an M1 Mac 
performance to a comparable Intel Mac.
