Hi, I apologize for coming in late to the party, so I hope that these suggestions are not repeats.
First, I am in Monterey Dave, and the list of choices in those menus definitely has more than two choices. Here’s how I have mine set: 1. Safari opens with: A New page. A New Page Opens: Home Page. A New Tab Opens: Empty Page By default, I believe that Safari is set to open with all tabs and windows that were open the last time you were in Safari. While tons of people like this, I do not. I like a blank slate when I come into Safari, then go to History if I need anything from previous times. So, by setting Safari to open a new page on startup, and also telling it that new pages always open my Home page, it then starts with my default Home page every time I open Safari, and Safari does not take forever rebuilding pages from my last session.
