now that's a good question. you should be able to go back to the
previous window by pressing command and that key above the tab where
you should be able to open a second page but I've never done it never
had to. hope i haven't confused you. don't like to get headaches or
give them. let me know if you figure it out. thanks and take care, Max

Max,
The original question wasn't mine but I really appreciate learning
this
keystroke, command enter.
On the same note, if I want to keep a web page open and open another
one
from my bookmark bar, for example, how can I do that? Right now the
second one replaces the former page. I can get back to the former
page
easy enough but sometimes I want to toggle back and forth between 2 or
more pages, keeping all of them open at the same time.
TIA,
Linda

Subject: Re: safari questions
Hello; As i understand it the results depend more on what the creater
of the website did than it is safari's doing. some sites it will
bring me back to the same spot, but others it returns me to the top of
the previous page. for this reason I use command enter to open the
link as a new page. Then when i click command w to close that window
I'm right back where i was. hope that helps, Max

Hello all
I sent a note in another thread about safari but I probably should
of sent it in a new thread.
I am wondering about safari and it's handling of the back button.
Is it normal to not be returned to the link that you clicked?
Sometimes I am but it seems less now then months ago when I first
started using safari.
Thanks for any help.
