I'm really curious. I'm not experiencing any of these issues with Safari 5. I use Safari all day to research the answers to queries in the translations I do. I also use Audible.com and have no problems with that, either.
I'm wondering if this depends on the hardware being used. I have a 3-year-old MacBook which has a couple of major differences from the current crop of Laptops. The volume is controlled by F4 and F5, and it just has a normal trackpad, not the multi-touch variety that can be used with the trackpad commander. Oh yes, and there's only one Option key.
