I can't think off the top of my head what could be the issue. I had an HP 2400 connected to the USB port on my ABS, and could print without any problems. I know I did have initially have some difficulties, but I think I just fiddled a bit with the configurations in the Airport Utility App on the Mac to resolve them. I think it wasn't seeing the printer at first, but I got it to eventually do so.
