Before you partittion the drive, you should consider the partitioning scheme you want to use. There was a discourse about this on Tidbits two or three years ago. I will be receiving a new disk shortly, and will need to review all this too. I am getting one of those Western Digital disks that has a virtual CD on it with some software to encrypt the disk and do non-apple backups. If you research this topic some, could you post back the articles you find useful?
