Hi Zack, I used a utility called sharpkeys to map both insert and delete keys on my Macbook Pro and it works great. When I am in my Windows 7 virtual machine my right option key becomes my insert key and the right command key becomes my delete and it works out very comfortably for doing the different screen reader commands. Contact me off list if you would like me to send you the program, but as I recall a google search for something like sharpkeys keyboard utility will come up at the top of the results. Hope this helps.
