Hi Shen: I don't understand why being given this information is a problem. I can't tell you the number of times I've been typing on the Mac and not had the insertion point info spoken; with the result of half of my writing showing up in the wrong place. I can certainly relate to some people not wanting VO to be quite so verbose. But, at least for me, this isn't one of them.
