ONe thing I'd like to mention before you put money into VMWare. There is an 
alternative called Virtualbox. It's interface is not accessible, but it has 
full terminal support, so you can set things up that way and never need to 
touch the interface. As far as I know, it is free, and works just fine. I have 
not tested either product yet, but I wanted to make you aware of this option in 
case you wanted to give it a shot. Note that, on the mac, "terminal" is the 
same thing as the windows command line, shell prompt, dos prompt, or whatever 
you want to call it.
