Okay. First things first. Make sure you have the latest version of Drop box.
Second, make sure you are running at least 10.8.

Now, there's two ways to share a link to a file or folder. Both of them appear
in the Drop box submenu which you get to by focusing on the file or folder and
then opening the short cut menu via VO+shift+m. Now, press space or right
arrow (not VO right just right) on the drop Box submenu. Now, if the file is
in the public folder, you will notice an option called copy public link. This
is one way; but, in my view, it's recently proven not to be the best way.
Here's the way I prefer.

1. Place the file you want to share a link to anywhere you wish in Drop Box.
It need not be in any particular folder.

2. Now, open the drop box submenu after having focused on that file.

3. Now, inside this submenu, you will notice an item called "share link" press
space on this.

4. Now, your browser will pop open with a special page. This is the page that
will be sent to your wouldbe recipient.

5. Now, press command+l to open the address bar. From here, do a select all,
(command+a) and then copy to the clip board.
Special note. I like to just go straight to tiny url:

www.tinyurl.com

and, from there, just paste that long link in and make a tiny url out of it
then paste that to the clipboard.

This step is not strictly necessary, but, it does help to avoid a long URL
being broken up in to seperate lines inside an e-mail message like we all know
sometimes hapens.

6. Now, with either the original URL or a tiny URL pasted to the clipboard,
make a new e-mail message.

7. Finally, send the page link to whom ever you wish. I'd like to kpoint out
that, if you wish, you can place the recipient's e-mail address directly inside
the special page and send it that way also.
 HTH.

Sincerely,
