You can do vo mm and then arrow over to the right until you hear the time. the other way involves the use of apple script, which I don't know if you have that enabled on your mac and I also don't know if this works in mountain lion. If you have speakable items turned on, you can hold down escape or whatever key you've designated and ask the mac what time it is. vo f2 will tell you the title of the current window. hth, Caitlyn
