Once you have focus on a link you can pull up the contextual menu (VO-shift-M) and then arrow down to "Copy Link". Of course if the link is 'fake' where it really just fires off a bunch of script which loads a bunch of stuff then there might not be a link to copy.

What I would like to know is how one can get the full URL of the
currently selected link without actually opening it. An example of
this might be a download link to a file; I would be interested in
copying this direct link in case to pass along in a tweet or email or
something. So I don't want to open the link first.

Make sense?

Thanks Chris. You are right. I thought it gave a blank field but the
current one is in there. Thanks. Very easy really isn't it?

Hi.
When i go to the address bar with command+l it highlights the current
address.
Then press command c to copy.
Hope that helps.

Hi
Is there a quick way to get to the address bar in Safari so you can copy
the website address you're on and paste the link in an email. I can
navigate to it via the toolbar.
If you press command l, you get to enter a new address but you can't see
the old one.
Thanks.
