Using voice over, double tap and hold on the application, wait and tell you here voiceover say "editing apps", and then double tap the application like you were going to open it. You will then be Prompted for confirmation that you would like to remove the application. If the application is a game, then you may be prompted to delete any information that is available in game center. Hope this helps.
