Hi,

There is a certain spot around the time when you get to choose the language.  I 
usually just listen for the DVD to quit making the constant reading sound then 
press FN-cmd-f5.  The DVD should start making reading noises again and VO 
should start up.  If VO is really quiet, try pressing VO-cmd-right arrow twice 
then VO-cmd-up arrow to increase the volume.  Sometimes, if VO has cached 
itself at a different spot, two right arrows will take you to a different 
modifier such as Intonation.  If you can hear it a little bit, you're hoping 
for VO to say "Volume", then you can use the VO-cmd-up arrows to increase it.
