For me, I just procrastinated on candidate research (we had a _good_ field, BTW), and let it slide until GA mentioned the preliminary results on IRC. Though I'm persuaded that STV was the wrong choice, I'm definitely *not* one to shoot myself in the foot in "protest", and fully intended to participate.
