I guess I am just personally disappointed in the way I found out.
You think I would be used to it by now.

Subject: Moblin + Maemo = MeeGo. Impact on Council?
Date: Mon, 15 Feb 2010 11:25:45 +0000
Hi,
Quim's created a wiki page on the MeeGo.com (hmm, not .org) wiki about
the community assets:
http://wiki.meego.com/Maemo_and_Moblin_community_assets
One of the points deals with the Community Council. Whilst the impact
of the news sinks in, one of the first things to consider is what it
means for next month's elections, if anything.
Cheers,
Andrew

Like the Chinese proverb says: "May you live in interesting times"
Thanks to little clues it occurred to me just before the formal announcement
that this was the big surprise, but I still wasn't prepared for the impact.
Now it's sinking in. There are so many big-picture pros and yet some personal
cons, too. What does it mean to those who had worked into leadership
positions? Does the karma carry over (and I don''t just mean a number)? Do we
try to set something up that draws equal representation from the Moblin and
Maemo communities to facilitate a decent transition?
I'm excited and scared at the same time. Maemo has always been a
rollercoaster, but it just became part of the Texas Giant... ; )
