Nah, it is quite useful.  Gnus doesn't require heavy keyboard use, for
instance, and I use it a lot for e-mail.  Multiple
IMAP/Maildir/mbox/NNTP/RSS sources handled in one interface.  Almost
all the Gnus commands are 1 or 2 keys (no modifiers).  I am mostly
interested in Gnus personally, but Emacs is a powerful environment for
those who know it.

Yes, and it does.

It's usable without a BT keyboard, now that I got the pop-up to
