In OS2008, the .install file can specify multiple repositories.  Previously, 
the file just specified one repository.  So, if you want to support earlier 
OS versions, either put all the packages in one repository or tell people to 
add additional repositories by hand.

Also, note that the contents of the .install is different for each release.  
If you want to support OS2006, OS2007 and OS 2008 you can specify several 
different fields in a single .install file.
