Yes, it certainly did, thank you! In my case, it is a gross hack because the only widget around to apply the style to is the whole tree view so I have to fix up the formatting for the other columns! If I had more time I would try to work out which parts of the style fix the problem and see if I can apply just those. Claudio, I sent you a short test program. A bit more experimentation has shown that the problem is to do with the tree view row being selected. The check marks show correctly on the non-selected rows (although clicking in a checkbox selects the row, of course, hiding the check mark).
