SSH or HTTP? I'm having issues on Debian Etch getting a git to push to Extras because, "git-push is not available for http/https repository when not compiled with USE_CURL_MULTI". Compiling from source with CFLAGS=-DUSE_CURL_MULTI and a whole lot of libcurl3-dev etc isn't helping.
